Yeah, covid transmission via the eyes is possible but very rare, as it has only been demonstrated in case reports. There’s observational evidence (link below) that healthcare workers who wore eye protection had a lower risk of Covid. But it’s unclear how this translates in terms of cause-and-effect to the general population, since healthcare workers who employ eye protection may also be strict in other ways, such as wearing better masks.

Overall, the eye isn’t the main route of Covid transmission, but it’s still possible, as far as I know. I’ve also written about this last year (link below if you are interested), but some of the info may be outdated already.
