That's a good question, thank you. For one, early life complication (such as traumatic life experience) is a major risk factor for schizo. In that sense, fostering healthy child development without excessive exposure to traumatic events will certainly help to reduce risk.

Maternal stress and psychosis is also a risk factor for schizo. So, ensuring healthy mental health for moms, especially during pregnancy, could help as well.
