Thanks for reading and also responding. I must admit that I am not familiar with the descriptive you mentioned.

But I would like to comment that pathogenic microbes can be considered as environmental risk factors for neurodegenerative diseases. Quoting from my other article: “…our environment comprises microscopic creatures that can be either harmless or harmful…”

I would also like to mention another point that I have neglected in this article: No single factor determines the development of diseases, especially multifactorial one like AD. Another quotation: “ HSV-1 can be regarded as a risk factor for AD, which adds up with other risk factors, such as age, gene, poor lifestyle, education, and other microbial infections…” Most probably socioeconomic status is inclusive in this list too.
