Thanks for reading. I agree that genetic (mRNA and DNA) vaccines are not traditional vaccines, such as live-attenuated, inactivated, or protein-based vaccines. But I see that as technology improves, we should embrace it, and that includes a new generation of vaccines, such as genetic vaccines that can be manufactured quicker and easier.
As a result, vaccine roll-out began sooner. If we don't embrace the new generation vaccines, I wonder how many more lives would have been lost to covid and compromised due to long-covid. I think the urgency comes from this, that we were/are amidst a raging pandemic.
Yes, vaccines, traditional or new generation, still have more room for improvement. Although perfection is unlikely, we should nevertheless try.
