Thanks Chris for your comments. Yes, I've heard of the hygiene hypothesis that tried to explain the rise in autoimmune disorders. But I also read elsewhere that the hygiene hypothesis has been thoroughly discredited.

Then again, some people probably still believe in this hypothesis and use it as an argument against Covid preventive measures.
