Thanks a lot for taking a look at the brainstem hypothesis paper. It's definitely an honor to have it published in a journal.

I've also read a number of articles suggesting that Covid-19 could increase the risk of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's (AD and PD). I think this is not completely unexpected since certain viruses are known to contribute to the development of AD and PD. Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1), as far as I know, is approaching a casual role in the development of AD, especially among carriers of APOE4 genotype.

Anyways, I also realized that Medium has changed the response functionality, but thanks for pointing out that editing a response in an article mode is still possible. :))
