Thank you too for your kind comment. Yeah, I remember writing about eye protection back in March 2021 (link below if you are interested).

In brief, only observational studies (mainly on SARS and MERS rather than Covid-19) have shown that eye protection can reduce infection risk. There hasn't been any noteworthy update since then, as far as I know.

Other experts have said that eye protection isn't a must but it doesn't hurt too. I agree with this for now, although I'm not sure if eye protection recommendations might change as the Delta variant spreads.
