Thank you for your thoughtful comment. However, I think the association is limited to mRNA vaccines since Li et al. noted no significant association between RVO and Johnson DNA vaccine.
Still, it's possible that inflammation may be the main driver of RVO in this case, given that mRNA vaccines are more generally effective and immunogenic than DNA vaccines.
If risk factors such as old age and underlying medical condtions are present, Covid probably generates greater inflammation than the vaccine.
If the person is vaccinated, however, less inflammation might be generated, given that vaccines do protect against severe Covid. I hope I got your question right but let me know if anything else is unclear.
