Actually I’ve thought the same. There’s evidence of SARS-CoV-2 activating, making the symptoms re-appear (but milder). But science hasn’t looked at what reactivated SARS-CoV-2 does to cells — maybe it does no harm or it could damage neurons like HSV-1.
