Yes, based on the available research, the shingles vaccine can help prevent - or at least delay the onset of - dementia. I mention 'can help' because it works by reducing risk, so it doesn't guarantee complete protection.

But we don't know whether the vaccine can slow the progression of dementia after it has developed, since no studies have investigated this question yet.
