Honestly, my initial presumption for the predictive antibodies is just somatic hypermutation that creates diverse antibodies. The more diverse the antibodies are, the more likely one of those antibody can counter future variants. So perhaps, it is predictive in the sense of trial and error or numbers game. But I believe this is just what's happening on the surface level, or I could be wrong. And I must admit that I'm not familiar with the underlying molecular mechanisms behind this.
Though I'm young, I'm also amazed by the progress humans have made to this day. I guess accumulating knowledge is a godly trait humans have.
