Its amazing that nature processes can teach us a lot of things. Understanding how leaves work had perhaps led to the innovation of 'photoreactive capture.'

And it's also amazing that innovation can mimic and exceed nature's efficacy to some extend. For instance, many synthetic drugs are much more potent that their natural derivatives, but such synthetic drugs are still inspired by naturally-occurring drugs/compounds.
