I see your point but I can't really answer it though. I'm not a doctor (either MD or PhD), so I can't be certain what their true motivation is.
If I have to guess, I think it's important to ask these questions, even though they are controversial. Because sooner or later, someone else might ask and we'd be accused of not being thorough enough if we don't have an answer.
For example, I'm rather amazed that most, if not all, of the mRNA vaccine biodistribution info came from unofficial sources from scientists or writers that have to dig through the literature and government documents. I'm not sure why authorities did not make this clear from the start. Otherwise, it's easy to be hesitant about the vaccine because we don't know where they go in the body.
But I could be wrong; maybe avoiding controversial topics like these is the right way to prevent excessive vaccine hesitancy or mis/disinformation. Still, at least I want to know the answer, however uncomfortable they might be.
