Hmm that's interesting. While Iceland did massive testing to find the IFR, it is only one source and the info is a few months old. So I chose to cite the CDC with more recent info and more sources.

So I think the CDC's info on the SARS-CoV-2 IFR is more accurate (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/planning-scenarios.html#box).

Further, even if the IFR of SARS-CoV-2 is similar to influenza, SARS-CoV-2 would still be much deadlier owing to its substantially higher transmission rate.
