Hi again :)) I really appreciate your thoughtful comments here and in my other articles. It's my first hearing from someone with ME/CFS long before the pandemic. It's unfortunate that people (including me) only became aware of ME/CFS now.

Anyways, I do agree on group thinking, even in academia. For example, I've read that papers elaborating on the accidental lab escape were rejected by editors of academic journals, before even assigning them to peer-review. Any theories involving lab escape are quickly dismissed as controversial. It's unfortunate that such things also happen in economics, as you have said.
