Bacteria have indeed played a huge part in the evolution of more complex organisms, as you have described. But I believe viruses are equally important. If I remember correctly, viruses participated in the evolution of the placenta, nervous system, and adaptive immune system. There might be more but I digress haha. Anyway, nice work :))
