An excellent write-up, indeed, especially this understated point. It's a common instinct to try several things at once to increase the chances of success, but it may very well backfire instead.

I also think a single effective long-Covid treatment is near-impossible, given its diverse manifestations that would require different approaches, as you have mentioned.
